The Scattered Paths
City State of Baybush
Baybush, a quite prosperous small city, is located in a coastal region where the prominent geographical feature is a large bay stretching into the center of the city and holds a population of approximately 8000. Located in a mild climate with humid summers and mild winters, this area experiences very heavy rains in the winter with long arid periods in the summer. Surrounding Baybush are large, imperialistic walls (with battlements) and 3 portcullises for entrance. The small city gets most of its water from the freshwater shores surounding. Some of the major products from the small city are fierce guard dogs, lemons and limes, sweet oranges, softshell crab and hunting hawks. Besides the government officials in charge, cities this large have more than one guild to contend with, and here The Laborer Partnership of Baybush and The Baybush Mercenary Forces run the city. Most of the beef in the area is imported from Leidham. Recently, counterfeit items have started to show up in the area that have been hurting local merchants selling the real items. There are a total of 471 buildings in the small city with 10 inns and a single temple. Most of these buildings are rather large, and created of tan bricks – meditteranean based. The services and professions that can be found in the settlement are 78 Artists, 108 Bakers, 80 Beggars, 24 Blacksmiths, 78 Brewers, 30 Butchers, 57 Carpenters, 86 Criminals, 54 Engravers, 16 Farmers (Combonation of traditional and citrus), 182 Fishermen (Both crabbing and standard), 7636 Laborers, 81 Leatherworkers, 40 Masons, 38 Mercenaries, 200 Merchants, 94 Sailors, 80 Soldiers and 57 Tailors.
Baybush holds many events and festivals. Many of them are the internationally accepted and recognized godly celebrations. But due to the multiple guilds in the city, there are many more locally known holidays and celebrations. AN example would be the recently celebrated ‘Feast of the North’, the founding of the Adventurer’s Guild.
